Flexible Friday
Friday is my day to feature people. I love Fridays for a number of reasons and this actually happens to be one of them.
You see I love the idea of helping people connect. Whether professionally, personally, or here in the blogosphere I think there is something pretty amazing about helping people find each other.
Last week I took off from blogging and subsequently didn’t have a “Friday Feature” like I normally do. And this week I was going to surprise someone by featuring them, but I have been so caught up in preparing for a local festival that my church is participating in all weekend that I have not had the time to do the post justice and so I’m not going to post it today.
And that’s okay.
Flexibility is important and sometimes you just have to roll with the punches. In this case, my Friday Feature wil go out on Monday and that’s perfectly fine.
Life is full of chaos, both good and bad, and it is important for all of us to recognize that at times we have to be a little “bendy” and work with the situation we’ve been give.
So today, instead of a feature, let me leave you with this question, “Are you flexible?” I’m not talking about turning yourself into a human pretzel, I’m talking about are you willing to roll with the punches that life throws at you? Are you willing to make adjustments and modifications without getting bent out of shape?
I’m not always flexible, that’s for sure. But today, I choose to be. I’m going to be flexible and enjoy my Flexible Friday.

I try to be flexible. However, I do not always like it and look at as an inconvenience. I like plans though. Sometimes though you just have to be flexible.
Hoep you enjoyed your flexible friday!
I can definitely relate to feeling like it’s an inconvenience Adam. We have our plans and want things our way and when we have to adjust it can often be frustrating.
My Friday (and whole weekend) was incredibly busy but the event I was overseeing went well so that’s a great thing.
I wasn’t always flexible. I found out that for my benefit, sometimes I should be. When I fight being flexible I end up getting in a bad mood with myself and loved ones and do more harm than good. Flexibility is good. Life changes, things come up. We gotta be able to adapt.
I have that same problem of allowing myself to get in a bad mood when things don’t go as planned and then it can interfere with family, friends, work, etc. I definitely agree that we need to come to an understanding that life does and will continue to change and we need to as you said, find ways to adapt.
Yes I think I am. But like anyone else who has a usual way of doing things or even of responding to others – I sometimes slip up. There’s a famous saying in our family “Those that can go with it” – and there you have it – some can – and sadly – some can NOT. I hope I’m always one who is tolerant AND flexible.
I definitely think you’re a flexible person Cindy. You seem to be able to roll with the punches and as Moe said adapt to the situation you’re in. That’s definitely a good thing.
