Unfathomable Love

What would you be willing to do, in the name of love?

What would you be willing to give up?

A few years ago I watched a short film called “Most” that vividly demonstrates the unfathomable love of God and what He was willing to do on our behalf.

The following is a condensed version of the film.

What is your reaction? Could you make that sacrifice?

As a new dad, I honestly don’t know if I could. I’d like to think that I’d be that willing to make such a significant sacrifice but in the moment…

If you are interested in seeing the whole 30 minute film (which I highly recommend) links to all four parts are below for you to watch.

  1. Stephen showed this film to us on Easter Sunday. Wow. No I couldn’t do it either. Amazing love.

    • I can’t think of a better time to show the film. I’ve seen it several times over the last few years and each time I am an emotional wreck after watching. Amazing love indeed.

  2. I remember my father telling me this story, when I was very little. He told me as an lesson in sacrifice and love, much like our Father sacrificed His Son. I remember hearing the story for the first time as a son, and crying. I remember it like he just told me yesterday.

I remember telling the story to a bunch of younglife kids, and choking up during the story, and seeing even some of the students tear up.

Now, seeing this short film and how it does a pretty awesome a job of portraying the story visually, as a father. *tear*

Like you David, I can’t even imagine being a position like this, and when I do, I quickly try and think about something else. It breaks my heart to pieces.

    • I know what you mean Ben. The thought of having to make that decision is incomprehensible to me and I hope and pray I never find myself in a situations where that type of decision has to be made.

This really helps you understand the incredible sacrifice God made for us, that’s for sure.
