The Miles Curse!

I installed a light fixture under some kitchen cabinets today and I experienced it.

I’m not surprised. It unleashes itself quite frequently; especially when home improvement projects are on the agenda.

The “it” that I speak of is the “miles curse.” I know it sounds crazy, but it always unleashed its wrath on my dad when a plumbing project arose, or a car needed fixing and here I am now, with my own house and my own opportunities to be effected by the bad juju.

Essentially it’s an extreme case of Murphy’s law. Tonight it reared its ugly head in the form of multiple trips to Home Depot for the correct size of machine screws, and an ever so slight misplacement of the fixture.

What I want to know is, who let Murphy have his own law anyway?!
